Rebecca St. James' winter is proving to be an eventful one.

In November, the contemporary Christian mainstay announced her signing to Beach Street/Reunion Records and plans for a 2011 album. Monday, the singer shared news of her recent engagement to fellow musician Jacob Fink.

St. James has had a lot to say about marriage over the course of her career -- she's known for 2000 tune "Wait for Me," which shared her beliefs about remaining celibate until marriage. (She also bolstered that belief in several books, including Wait For Me: Rediscovering the Joy of Purity in Romance and devotional Pure.)

Fink proposed to St. James with a solitaire diamond ring on Christmas Day at her family's farm in Franklin, a release from her publicist notes.

"We are truly amazed at finding our dreams and ideals met in the love we’ve found," St. James said in the release. "We are exceedingly grateful for this precious gift from God."

St. James plans to release her new album, I Will Praise You, on April 5, with leadoff single "Shine Your Glory Down" hitting radio February 11. The singer/author also has a new book in the works: her ninth tome, What is He Thinking?, is set for release in September.
